Alena Dvorakova – Viktor Fischer, Ondrejov Farm, Ondrejov, Czech, 2004-2006
ONDREJOV Farmers´ descendant who has been restored his family property nationalized in the 1940s. He has to make a lot of effort to restore it and overcome problems that economic transformation of the country has brought. In the early 1990s 500.000 sheep were bred in the Czech Republic. Import agreements on wool caused a collapse of most sheep farms and the number of sheep came down to 40.000. Even though the situation is getting better, it has had a bad impact on unemployment and populating the regions as well as ecology.
